Jamms Restaurant, Las Vegas

A wise person once told me, "Take what you love, take your PASSION, and turn it into a career."  I remember thinking, "But who's going to pay me to eat?"  No, seriously.  Steve and I found ourselves going to breffis (breakfast) literally every weekend, both days.  Cooking eggs at home is fine once in a while, but the variety of a breffis place (and not having to do any of the work yourself) is way more appealing.  Since breffis is our favorite meal of the day, we decided to document our journey of all that is... Breffis. A little place called Jamms Restaurant in Las Vegas inspired this entry.  We had breffis at this cute and cozy little diner this morning.  I felt like I was at Grandma's house.  Our experience was so memorable that it had to be shared.  The staff's service was on-point - friendly, knowledgeable, speedy.  The vast menu selections were absolutely drool-worthy.  We started our experience with French Toast Fries... Because.

Hot, crispy, gooey, creamy, delicious.  Completely unnecessary to order because our actual meals were huge, but when you see French Toast Fries anywhere on a menu, you get them.  I ordered the Heather Omelet.  Fluffy eggs stuffed with cream cheese, sundried tomato, and scallions.  This omelet was so rich and flavorful, stopping myself from finishing it before I exploded was more difficult than I had anticipated.  If I'd worn sweatpants, things might've been different.  Steve ordered the White Castle Omelet.  It's exactly what it sounds like - a cheese burger with an egg blanket.  Ok, it was fluffy eggs folded and filled with crumbled ground beef, sautéed onions, and smothered with melted cheddar cheese.  How could that be bad?  It wasn't.  It was awesome.  I won't even get into the side options.  It's not just toast or an English muffin.  You can order a POT of bread if you want.  You know, because one or two slices isn't enough.  He had some chocolatey Nutella bread-in-a-pot concoction.  Think "muffin" but bread.  Yes, this was after devouring deep-fried french toast and an omelet with hash browns.  Don't hate.

As the server brought the gurney over to wheel us out, we were delighted to see the total was reasonable considering we'd ordered enough to feed the entire restaurant, as well as the mattress liquidation warehouse across the parking lot.  Two baskets at the register were filled with FREE slices of Big Red and Juicy Fruit gum!  Again... Because.  We paid, took our free gum, and left with wider smiles, fresher breath, and prescriptions for Lipitor.  Life is good.
